KUALA LUMPUR, August 20 — In a bid to boost confidence, a drug dubbed ‘the Viagra’ was seized by the authorities on Monday, but the public was not prepared for the action.
“We believe it has been seized,” a source familiar with the matter told PKS Online, adding that police had arrested the proprietor of Kamagra in Malaysia.
Kamagra was the first drug to be approved by the FDA for erectile dysfunction.
Kamagra is an oral medication that is taken orally in a pill form for people with low blood pressure and low blood potassium levels.
It is the first drug approved for erectile dysfunction and is believed to be one of the drugs that is being tested by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in a bid to treat pulmonary hypertension.
The FDA has also approved Sildenafil as a drug to treat erectile dysfunction. It is sold under the brand name Viagra. It is also used in some other countries including Australia and a few other countries where Viagra is a legal and safe treatment.
The drug was seized in a shipment by the police in Singapore last week and was being sold in the following pharmacies:
“We believe it was seized and sold by the police,” a source familiar with the matter told PKS Online.
“The pharmacy is selling the medicine on the internet,” the source told PKS Online, adding that the seller is an international pharmacy chain.
“We are not talking about the local pharmacy chain or the online pharmacy. It is sold in a country that has a good distribution system,” the source said.
The pharmacy chain is selling Sildenafil and Vardenafil to the people in the country and other countries where the drug is a legal and safe treatment.
The source said the drug was being used to treat the condition of erectile dysfunction and is sold in the following countries:
“We are selling the medicine in the United States, Canada and Mexico to be used for the treatment of erectile dysfunction and is being sold on the Internet.”
“We believe it is the drug that has been seized,” the source said.
The source said the drugs were not the same as those used to treat pulmonary hypertension and are not approved to treat it.
“It is a drug that is approved to treat this condition, but we do not sell it to people in the country where it is being used for this purpose,” the source said.
Kamagra is sold in two different countries – Australia and Malaysia.
